Well, the heebie jeebies are over, I guess. Things have gone pretty well on the Blog Tour, and all the reviews have been good. Here's a link to another one.
http://myaddictionisreading.blogspot.com/2013/09/blog-tour-hostages-by-terrence-crimmins.html#comment-form I'm going to be doing another one soon. Well, the Pirates beat the Cubs today in another nail biter, 3-2, (Please forgive me for being a Pirates fan), They're tied for first with the Cardinals, and I was able to watch the game on WGN out of Chicago. It would be quite the dream to see them win the series, but where they are now is a big imporvement over the string of 20 losing seasons, yuck.
Things are going okay on the Blog Tour, with two recent promos. http://booksaz.wordpress.com/2013/09/13/blog-tour-for-hostages-by-terrence-crimmons-excerpt-included/ And http://alisbooks.wordpress.com/ More reviews are coming out this week. I'm looking forward to them. Almost all of the reviews of Hostages have been quite positive. Finally the heat broke today in Baltimore, where it has been hot
and humid for a few days. It reminded me of Robin Williams' imitation of Walter Cronkite, that old CBS evening news anchorman, doing, of all things a weather report. He had him saying, "today it's hot and sweaty, hot and sweaty, with more hot and sweaty tomorrow, hot and sweaty...." (From his classic movie, Good Morning Vietnam.) Well, of course the eighth graders were a little crazier than usual- in their non-air conditioned room. Ah well. On the writing front it was another stop on the blog tour today. Give it a look! There's an interview, a guest post by your truly, and a nice little sample from Hostages. http://www.mythicalbooks.blogspot.ro/2013/09/guest-post-and-excerpt-hostages-by.html The Tour is in full swing now. You can read an excellent review on this stop.
http://theyalitchick.blogspot.com/2013/09/review-hostages-by-terrence-crimmins.html There is a question posed about what adventure novelists are writing about here: http://theyalitchick.blogspot.com/2013/09/review-hostages-by-terrence-crimmins.html And there's an interview and promo here: http://theyalitchick.blogspot.com/2013/09/review-hostages-by-terrence-crimmins.html The first review of the tour is in, and I like it. It says a lot of things that people have said who have read Ho
As a native of Pittsburgh, today was not a pleasant day. Both the Steelers and the Pirates lost,
with the Pirates now a game and a half out of first place. Ah well, lots to time left in the season. They are getting better and better every year, and they certainly are due. As to the Steelers, too many injuries, Well most of you are not Pittsburgh fans, so please forgiveme. On the other hand, the Virtual Tour gets into gear tomorrow, with the first review. I am looking forward to it very much. It will appear here: As a native of Pittsburgh, today was not a pleasant day. I'm sitting here watching the historic Notre Dame Michigan game. The escapism of it always fascinates me. One hundred ten thousand or so fans, jumping, cheering, shouting- Ann Arbour Michigan- a whole section of college kids with bright yellow thingees.... only in America. It's a good game, going back and forth.
My Blog Tour Starts tomorrow, there will be new events every day, meet and greet, reviews, interviews. It will be very informative about my novel, Hostage There's so much going on today about President Obama's decision about whether or not to bomb Syria, and the Peanut Gallery is busy as ever with sugestions, criticisms, etcetera. But this is, as I see it, the new Cold War, if you will. I have serious doubts that the conflict between Fundamentalist Islam and the West will be solved in my lifetime, so that I see a dramatic arena for creativity. Just as there were a rash of novels about the Cold War there will be a rash of novels about the War on Terror-
Well, anyway, my novel is about it. and it is the big day. It is published. http://www.amazon.com/Hostages-Captives-terrorist-international-intrigue/dp/1490307435/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1378422392&sr=8-4&keywords=terrence+crimmins The first review of it should come out tomorrow on Magnolia Blossom Blog, which is an excellent opportunity to find out about it. http://magnoliablossom.wordpress.com/ |
